I stood at the entrance of Northwood High, my fingers clutching the strap of my bag as I took a deep breath. The school building loomed over me—modern, prestigious, and completely unfamiliar. A new place, new faces, and a past I wanted to leave behind.
Shifting schools wasn’t part of my plan. But life had its way of throwing unexpected changes at me. My father had decided it was best for me to move, away from the chaos that had followed our family for years. I didn’t argue; I knew better than to question his decisions.
